Z Nationals Track Day @ Atlanta Motor Speedway

The Z Nationals 2011 Car Show and Track day hosted by Z1 Motorsports in Atlanta, GA was the first time the whole team with both the Z and G where out together since the G35 has been finished and with the cars cleaned up and ready to race we headed down 85 to Atlanta dark and early Saturday morning. We arrived in Atlanta right on time and dropped of the SOHO EvoX at Competition Clutch for some new goodies, but thats a whole other story. When we got to Z1 we were immediatly taken back by how many Z/G cars there where and as soon as we parked we got plenty of attention. Every single car there was impressive in there own respect and it was a very well done show and dyno day, hats off to the guys from Z1 for putting on such an awesome event for all of us to see some friends and meet some new ones. As great as the car show was on Saturday the real fun began on Sunday at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The track day used the full infiield and part of the oval and had a top speed of over 170 in our G35 on the embankment and well over 120 a few other times making it a very quick 2.5 miles. With our first time out after testing we had a great outing and where absolutely flying. Our driver, Kevin Parlett, was driving the wheels off of the car with our buddys from Momentum Performance right behind in their track 350Z and Mule car. The G35 was fast right out of the gate once we learned the course and did a few suspension adjustments to the SOHO G35 and Momentum 350Z, both cars where blistering fast bumper to bumper around the track definetly demonstrating how well built both cars are. We had an absolute blast at the 2011 Z Nationals, it is by far one of the best Z/G gathering in the country and we look forward to 2012. Brake Failure at Carolina Motorsports Park

If you go wide open through the kink at the top of 5th gear about 140mph at Carolina Motorsports Park then you better be able to stop... well I couldnt, as you can see from the video above. The first time out with real track duty on the car started out amazing at the Turn One Track event. It was my first time out going full speed on a road course with the car since the build was completed. The classroom and instruction TurnOne supplied was absolutely awesome and before I knew it my slow laps in the morning turned into blistering laps in the afternoon. The car handled absolutely amazing and was on rails all day, it would do literally anything and everything I asked of it and never had me wanting more out of the car, and we are still on low boost for now and the power will be increased largely in the next coming weeks. With the car handling perfect I was able to hold the throttle wide open in spot that most either had to lift or brake at so by the time I was getting the line down better and better by the 40th lap of the day I was hitting 140mph going into the switchback of turn 11. But on the final session and on by far my fastest lap of the day the brakes pads exceeded there maximum operating temperature (wrong compound... oops) and they disintegrated instantly when the 6 piston Wilwoods applied pressure and the nice stiff brake pedal hit the floor and stayed there as the metal on metal tried to stop with no success. Realizing the brakes had gone and I had no means of stopping from the top of 5th gear i downshifted and held on for dear life and slowly turned it into the sandpit and was going so fast the car came to a stop at the completely opposite side of the pit and within a few feet of the tire barrier. Whew got lucky on that one! Getting new race compound pads and front rotors and back to CMP again on Friday the 2nd for some more seat time, and faster laps! Z Con 2011 at Savannah, GA

The week of ZCon 2011 in Savannah, GA was the hottest week the eastern seaboard of the US has seen in a very long time, so as any racing enthusiast it was only right to take the car we just finished building and put it through its paces by taking a little road trip. After packing the G's trunk full Christina and I embarked on the 4 hour 130+ degree non AC race car from Charlotte to beautiful Savannah, and no surprise to us it was hot as humanly possible but the car didnt even have a single problem whatsoever. After enjoying the downtown Savannah scenery and the Z car shows that seemed to be upset we brought a gun (G35) to a knife fight (350Z), with all of the car show and everything else out of the way it was time to race and I was excited to try out the new tune. Once again it was an autox and hot as can be but the car handle perfectly and with a sway bar adjustment in the second session I pulled away with the fastest time. The week in Savannah was a true test of endurance for the freshly built G and it passed with flying colors... Now enough of this autox stuff its time to go road racing!!!

Carolina Motorsports Park SCCA AutoX 1st Shakedown

The day finally came! After months and months of blood, sweat, tears, grease and money the SOHO Motorsports Time Attack G35 got to see its first track session at the SCCA Central / South Carolina Region AutoX at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC. This was an autox setup on the second half of the CMP course and lik most autocrosses we didnt get out of second gear in the course but we still got plenty of seat time and I got to feel the car and how it handles for the first time. After running through a few glitches here and there and the car being really tight we came into the pits and reflashed the ECU and loosened up the rear sway bar and the car responded beautifully giving us a pretty darn fast time our first time out. Here are some pics from our maiden voyage. Next up is an endurance test I like to call ZCon so be on the lookout.

ISO/SWD Drift & Car Show... and Dyno Day!

Now that the car is finally assembled with all of the body work done its nice to be able to drive it around and show it off to everyone who's been following the build locally. After last weekend's show was at CMS this weekend was at ZMax Dragstrip. Insane Stance & Offset and StreetWise Drift put on a dual drift and car show that was easily one of the best meets of the year with some of the best and most bad ass drift cars on the east coast and some of the cleanest show cars on earth. Everywhere the eye could see were beautiful cars, NOS Energy drinks and V8 swapped cars destroying tires and sending smoke signals on the drift course. This was the first time the SOHO 350Z and the G35 were out together and the second we pulled in a crowd formed around the car. The response was great and we met a lot of great fans who have supported me and the shop through this whole process, and met great guys from local shops like Phantasm and Driven. We probably wont get out to too many shows in the future but after the warm reception we got from everyone we may have to find some time and come out to more. Here are some pics of the car show but it doesnt end there, after the show we went to the dyno...

After having a great showing at the ISO/SWD event, Nik and I along with the guys from Driven grabbed a late lunch and headed to the dyno at CES Motorsport to start putting a final tune on the Time Attack G. After a few hours and lots of mad scientist number crunching by Nik the car was putting down a pretty high number for the moderate tune on 8psi. Now before you ask, which most of you already have.... no numbers till final numbers ;) you all got spoiled being able to see every step of this awesome build process, a little suspense wont hurt ya haha. In the meantime here are some pictures of the dyno night.

Well now that the car is running we took it to CES Motorsport and strapped it to the DynoJet to get some baseline tuning for break in purposes and to our surprise with a moderate tune from 1-4,000rpm and only 5lbs of boost we have already exceeded our baseline bench mark and there is so much potential... Today we did prepped the interior for paint and did a couple other things while we had the car in front of us. The KW Clubsport Suspension finally came in and we installed them and put a base setup on it and then we moved to mounting the Toyo R88's on the Volk TE 37 SL's and put them on the car to see what we needed to do to make them fit. The front is perfect but the rear with the 305's sticks out a little bit but with some fender work it should look perfect. Damn do those 305's and 285's look huge! Day 1 of the roll cage install started today at Tom Pallatin Motorsports in Concord, NC. We took out the rest of the interior including the carpet, sun roof, rear deck, all AC and Heat components, entertainment system, wiring harnesses, random extra metal covers on doors and cross members and a few other random things equating to nearly 50 - 70 lbs of weight reduction on top of the other weight we saved in previous days. The car is now completely stripped and getting the rollcage installed this week! Here are some pics of whats left of a luxury car...

Build Day 3 and 4

Day 3 and 4 of the build Started on Friday by pulling the front clip off the car and pulling the motor. Today we finally got to put in the beautiful SPL Solid bushings on the front half of the car and we pulled the rear diff to mock up the new Quaiffe diff. And right now we are tearing the engine apart. If anyone is wondering why the random order of the build its because we are waiting on a good amount of part on backorder so we are doing what we can. Its finally 2011 and that means its time to start building at the SOHO Motorsports shop! We are still waiting on a few critical pieces and since I had a racers banquet to attend that afternoon we did a few things to get the build started. We first stripped all of the seat and trunk and ended up taking nearly 200lbs off the car (before the new seats). Then we installed the new carbon fiber trunk and saved a pretty good amount of weight on that as well. Then while the guys from Soho where doing that I took the original intake manifold / plenum with Motordyne spacer and mrev2 setup off the car. We will most likely be putting this on another one of our street Z's. Then we finished the short day off with installing the absolutely beautiful Cosworth intake manifold and we mocked up the APR GTC 300 rear spoiler, which mounts very close to flush to the edge of the trunk so we may need to make some sort of bracket on the inside of the trunk. Baseline Dyno Tuning at CES Motorsport - Tuned by SOHO Motorsports

On Tuesday night after fighting through 2 hour traffic to get 10 miles Nik from SOHO Motorsports and I headed over to see John from CES Motorsport at his shop in Monroe, NC, where we did a few baseline dyno pulls before we start the build. After doing a few pulls on the CES Motorsport DynoJet we used the Cobb AccesPort to try out the Stock map, and Stage 2.1+ Map supplied on the AccessPort but we werent too happy with the results, so Nik from SOHO Motorsports broke out the computer and AccessTuner software and stared tuning away. STX Win - SCR AutoX at BMW Factory

After two days of awesome meets and photoshoots all over the Charlotte area on Friday and Saturday it was time to race on Saturday and prove that the #144 G35 is more go than show! Team SOHO headed down to the BMW Manufacturing Plant bright and early Sunday morning for the South Carolina Region SCCA Autox. With the tune perfected after the race at ZMax the #144 was strong right out of the gate and at the end our session we won STX with a 39.36. Here are some photos and video from the race -

1st Place STX at ZMax CCR #8

The #144 G35 has won again! And this time by its largest margin in Street Touring X class all year. We won by over a second, thanks to the brand new ecu tune from SOHO Motorsports! Using the Cobb Tuning Accessport V2 to connect to the stock Nissan ecu, Nik from SOHO plugged it into the AccessTuner Pro software and changed the map from the rich/safe base map that Cobb provided and created a new more aggressive map. The old Cobb Stage 2.1+ map was designed by Cobb as a standard base map for modified G's but it was created to be a safe map and ran on very rich A/F ratio's which was robbing the car of power and fuel. After tinkering with the software and doing some calculations SOHO created a much better map. The new SOHO map was a night and day difference! The power curve was much more consistent and allowed for more low end response and top end grunt. After taking a few test drives and data logging on Thursday evening we finally had the G35 with a proper tune, and I couldn't have been more excited to try it out at ZMax for the CCR SCCA Autox # 8! On race day the car felt so much more alive and the throttle response was infinitely better, allowing me to control the G much better than before and allowing me to stay in the high rpm range of the VQ35DE longer than before making it fun and fast to drive. Immediately after the first few runs i was over a second faster than the field that I'm normally with a few hundredths of second from. This new tune was amazing and I cant wait to see how well SOHO can tune the car when it finally gets built this off season! CCR 12hr Race 2010 at City Center

This year CCR's infamous 24hr race had to be cut in half to a 12 hour race after the venue changed from Knights Stadium to the newest Charlotte lot, City Center. Even with half of the normal hours there was still plenty of time to get a lot of runs and play with setup. The course design was a great flowing course that had technical sections and fast straights, making it challenging and fun. After getting my work assignments done for the day around 4 pm it was finally time to start seeing what the #144 could do.

The 12hr race was set up differently than the normal CCR race. It was an open session style race, where as long as you had done your working assignment you could run as many laps as you wanted. You were allowed 5 official runs that you had to claim before you the run. Since we could claim runs at any point during they day there was more strategy involved than the average race, most people had claimed a good amount of there runs before I had made any runs at all around 4 pm and it looked as though in order to win Street Touring Extreme I would have to run a low 42 sec lap.

My first few runs the 120 degree surface temp on the track was too much heat for the cold RE-11's and the car was very loose. After playing around with tire pressure I finally settled on 36 in the front and 32 in the rear and it seemed slowly gain traction as the sun went down. Around 6 when the sun began to fall behind the trees, the track surface began to cool off and started to stick like glue to the somewhat warm tires. Confident with the track conditions and the car setup I decided to take my first official run around 6:30 and pulled a 42.517, good enough for second place at the time but I knew there was still a lot left in the car especially with the conditions being perfect. Unfortunately after this run we ran into a timing difficulty and as we sat waiting the tires and the track cooled of dramatically. After getting back on the track, the car was very loose and everyone was slowing down. I began to get worried at this point that my strategy was falling through and it was going to be nearly impossible to win. After putting down 3 more runs in the 42's I was still in second place with one official run left and only 10 minutes left in the race day, it was down to the wire and I knew I was so close to the win. On my fifth and final run I pushed it as hard as I possibly could around through every section and remained as smooth as possible, and when i got to the finish i pinned the throttle and came through the lights sideways and the scoreboards read the fastest time I had seen all day - 42.064 sec. The final lap was just fast enough to take 1st place in STX! Above is a video of my winning run, and soon I will be posting some photos from the event.

After purchasing a few pieces they offered for the car I was very impressed, but after Mark offered me a sponsorship he quickly sent me the rest of the parts needed to complete the car and the results were far better than I could have imagined. Before any of the GT Spec braces the car still had a good bit of chassis roll and never truly felt planted no matter what the sway bar settings were. But after getting the car on the lift I installed all of the parts and the fit and finish was absolutely perfect. Everything lined up perfectly and was very simple to install, not to mention the fact that these parts were absolutely beautiful, the signature GT Spec metallic blue and polished aluminum braces are one of the sexiest things on the car, too bad you cant see all of it without being under it because it truly makes for a pretty undercarriage. With everything installed I could tell GT Spec had done there homework and designed pieces that would work with aftermarket exhaust, as you can see from the way the massive Exotic Speed exhaust snakes it way through the braces perfectly.

The full kit of bracing included the GT Spec Front and Rear Strut Bar, Front and Rear Tie Brace, Rear Lateral Arm Brace, Mid Chassis Brace and Air Diversion Panel. The first time out with the new setup and using the same Time Attack course thanks to SWD and ZMax in Charlotte the car was a full 2 seconds faster and was absolutely glued to the track. The braces seemed to tame the 3600 lb G35 and made it feel as though I was driving a go cart, the responsiveness of the car was beyond anything I could have imagine and inspired confidence in nearly every situation on the track. Body roll in every direction was now non existent and the car was way easier to drive and put exactly where I wanted it to be. I cant say enough about how well these parts balanced the car and made it much more aggressive through the turns. For the low price that GT Spec sells these parts, they should be an essential to any one who races there G or Z or any other car they offer parts for. Z Jam and Autofair at Charlotte Motor Speedway

The Carolina Z Club Z Jam at the annual 2010 Autofair turned out great! Charlotte Motor Speedway was again a great venue for Autofair and thousands of amazing cars were as far as the eye could see, but the best of show was definetely the 30+ Z's and G's off of the Turn 4 grandstands. With a great crowd of cars ranging from 1970's 240's that look like they just rolled off the floor to fully modified race ready 350Z's and G35's there was nothing but high quality cars that all looked amazing! SWD Time Attack #2 at ZMax

The Street Wise Drift Series came back to ZMax Motorsportspark for their Round 6 of the ProAm Drift competition and held their second time attack. Once again the race weekend started earlier than normal with the arrival of a new R1- T Exhaust thanks to Exotic Speed and Dan from Assaultech and also a rear strut bar and air diversion panel from Mark at GTSpec. I took the new goodies to BRE Motorsports again and installed them and man was I suprised at how beautiful the both were and how perfect the fit was for each. The strut bar felt great and the exhaust sounded amazing and gave a noticeable gain on the top end after a quick reflash of the AP. After getting everything installed on Friday the event was finally here. For the first time at these events there seemed to be more racers than drifters and there was plenty of competition with good drivers and fast cars. After the drivers meeting and the parade lap the morning practice started around 10am. I was very familiar with the surface at ZMax since ive raced there so much and the course was also very similar to the previous course setup, fast and smooth with the addition of a 180 degree turn in after the crossover. After taking two runs in the morning and being only a couple tenths of a second behind the fastest lap I decided to park the car and save the tires some knowing I would have plenty of runs in the afternoon. After talking to a couple drivers about strategy around the course and eating lunch we began the afternoon session and our 5 timed runs. This session lasted from 1- 5pm and you could space out your 5 runs as much as you wanted. I chose to let the course warm up a little bit and then ran 3 runs back to back, adjusting tire pressures and trying a few different shifting points and lines. After the 3rd run I was 1st in Street Touring and 2nd overall for the day with my 71.254 so I decided to park the car and let the tires and brakes cool off. I then went up to the time tent and watched alongside Todd from SWD as Chris Ulman in his Street Touring Evo X beat my time with his 71.043 sec lap. After that I lowered the pressure of the tires slightly all the way around and went out on my 4th lap and had a slightl line error on the large sweeper and came through with a 71.587 sec lap, a far cry from my best lap and 1st place. On my fifth and final lap I the tires and brakes were up to temperature and I was ready to push the car as hard as I could. After pushing as hard as possible and driving the perfect line the GTSpec/ Assaultech/ Computech/ Exotic Speed #144 Infiniti G35 came through the timing lights with a 71.036 sec lap giving us the win in Street Touring and 2nd overal for the day behind Mike Licursi's Street Modifed S2000. CCR AutoX #5 - Tyvola Coliseum, Charlotte

Central Carolina Chamionship Autocross #6 was held at the old Tyvola Coliseum parking lot in Charlotte. This was the first time the club has used this lot and it was medium sized with a few bumps and cracks in the surface and overall slick and dusty. The course layout was a fun but a very slow and technical course that challenged even the best autoxer. This raceday was an interesting one for me since I was pulling double duty, racing points in FStock in John's Camaro and also running the G35 in Pax- STX/STO. Coming into the 6th event of this series I have won every race in the G35, except the last one at Michelin that I did not attend, so I had asked 2nd place in points John Clark to co drive his Camaro and he agreed. When it came time for Heat 3 John and I had to hot lap the Camaro due to the small run group and the street tires were very warm due to the Camaro sliding all over the dusty track. When it came down to our 4th run I opted out because the tires were too warm and John and I's 3rd runs would be our fastest. The end result was him beating my fastest run of 51.670 by .003 seconds to hand me my first defeat of 2010. Thanks John for letting me drive the car and if there was anyone I would like to lose to it would be you for sure! After points racing it was time to have fun and see what the G could put down on the new track. With a few tire pressure adjustments and trying to avoid certain bumps on the course I finished the day near the top with a 47.945 sec. If I had been running points with the STX class in the G35 that would have been 1st place for the event. Here is a video of my last and fastest run-

Central Carolina Kinghts Series #2

The CCR Knights series is always a fun and layed back series that usually allows for a lot of runs on a small course, and of course its at night making visibillity interesting. Knights Race #3 was no exception, the course was small and tight and this was the first time I have come here since the new round of modifications so I was worried about be overpowered and too stiff... and I was right. The pavement was dusty with small pebbles and it made it difficult to pin the throttle and get traction but with 6 runs I figured it out just enough to win Street Touring Extreme by .03 seconds and was top 10 in raw times, despite the lack of traction. SWDrift Autopalooza Time Attack @ ZMax

Before I even begin to talk about how great of an event SWD's Autopalooza was, I have to thank everyone who made this race possible, Mark from GT Spec, Tex and Dave from BRE Motorsports, Dan from Assaultech Performance, Todd from Street Wise Drift, Tony from Motordyne and everyone at Computech! Wiithout you guys I wouldnt have such a good car to go race with, thank you all for everything.

Now for the recap of this awesome event. Street Wise Drift always knows how to put on a great show, and Autopalooza 2010 at ZMax Motorsports Park was no exception! The race weekend started late Thursday afternoon when I received the new parts from Mark at GT Spec, after taking the chassis braces out of the box and seeing that beautiful blue powdercoat I immediately called up Tex at BRE Motorsports to see if they had an open lift I could use and I went down there and put them on with some help from Dirty Dave. And wow, BRE has an amazing shop with fully built drag cars and drift cars all over, it was a beautiful sight and they all made me feel at home, thanks guys! After checking out all their new projects I went out and test drove the car and wow, the car felt amazing and I couldn't wait to test in race mode. Friday I gathered all of the new decals thanks to Computech and did final prep for the race in the am. Saturday morning was a quick excited drive from uptown Charlotte to ZMax in Concord. Once we got there the drifters were in there drivers meeting and we got teched in and began to walk the huge course that SWD set up, and boy was it big and fast! The drifters started practice on the course directly next to the time attack course and they were tearing it up with awesome 100+ mph sideways entries! If that doesn't pump you up to go fast, I don't know what does. Once all of the drivers got there, I realized this event would be a good measuring stick for the setup of the G and my driving skill, there was a fully prepped G35 with rollcage and coilovers and 370Z and a bunch of other cars with similar modifications to me. We started the time attack with a parade lap around the course noting all the decreasing radius turns and the double up, we were all ready to race and we knew it would be fast. We would get two runs in the morning and three in the afternoon. My first run surprised me by how fast and smooth the track really was, SWD set it up to allow for 3rd gear 8 grand turns after huge straightaways, it was an awesome course that kept the driver and car on the edge the entire time and with the new setup on the G I could drive it harder than ever, sticking to the line like glue way above redline in 3rd gear, those GT Spec braces were gonna pay off for this race! My morning runs were pretty consistent with two 74's which put me right next to the fully prepped G and Z. With 100+ degree temperatures we took a lunch break and got out of the boiling sun for about an hour and then went back to racing, with everyone eager to drop there times. Coming out on the 3rd run I knew I could drive the car harder in a couple spots and had to hold the throttle in the perfect spot slightly below 8 grand being aware of the engine but knowing there was room to go fast, my third and fourth runs began to drop time with a 74.0 and then a 73.5. Approaching our final run I was confident with my times in the Street Touring class with my 4th run but was still behind the completely prepped G35 and his mid 73 sec lap. I knew on the final run I couldn't hold anything back and had to push the car to the limit on every spot of the track, after hazing the tires around every turn and braking as late as possible I knew it felt like a much faster run and when I pulled into timing and I came through with a 72.3! No official results have been posted yet but once they are I will update this with official times and results. After having a successful raceday thanks to everyone who helped out and mentioned earlier I would have to say that the GT Spec braces were truly put to the test and they passed with flying colors, the car felt amazing and remained consistent and composed in every situation I put it in, thanks again GT Spec! Done racing, we got to check out the awesome Pro Am Drifting that SWD is all about, and boy was it impressive, amazing cars and amazing drivers on a very fast course! SWD you put on yet another great event and I cant wait for the next one. Here are some photos and videos of me racing and later I will update with some coverage of the rest of the event.

Carolina Motorsports Park Monster Memorial Time Attack

Ive been waiting for this CCR points race since the day I saw it on the schedule in the beginning of the year, Carolina Motorsports Park is about an hour and half outside of Charlotte in Kershaw, NC and ive wanted to race there since I moved to NC. Unfortunately most of that excitement went out the window in the middle of the drivers meeting, the skies opened up and the downpour began. Just as usual we race in any weather and of course I was in the first run group so we had a soaking wet course in the rain. On the first run I probably didn't clean off the tires well enough on the launch and the large puddles in the first two turns the car slid coming into the first slalom and pitched back and forth three times before I could straighten it back out. The track might as well have been iced over for the first three runs, but finally on my fourth run it was dry enough to get a good time. Unfortunately immediately after that run the downpour started again and the lightning followed, and sadly the event had to be called off after waiting in the rain for hours. SCR/CCR AutoX @ Michelin Proving Grounds

This was a close one... with a good ending! But before I start, I have to say how well run this event was, South Carolina Region SCCA and Central Carolina Region SCCA joined up on this event after CCR lost the site for our third points race, so we decided to ask our neighbors to the south if we could join them at what is probably all of our favorite solo sites; Michelin Proving Grounds (The Black Lake), Laurens, SC. With two groups joining together and such a premium location expectations where high and all of them were met. Once we arrived at the track I realized that there was well over 200 cars at this event and in my solo class (FS) I was the only V6 surrounded by V8's that all overpowered me. There was four run groups and after watching the first it was time to race in the second group. I was about the 4th or 5th person in line to run in my class out of the dozen or so that was in it, which made it difficut to see where I was placed after each run. I went out on the first run and laid down a pretty strong first pull and came through the timing lights 1st in FS. But on the second run the V8 power took over and bumped me down to 3rd about 1.5 seconds back. This was the first time I had been trailing coming into the final run since clinching the 2009 Washington DC Region Points Championship last fall. Realizing I had a lot of time to make up and that this was a points event for both of the regions I race in, I went for broke and drove hard but stayed smooth and ended pulling through with the win by .025 seconds! This gave me 10 points in both regions, helping extend my lead in CCR and gets me in the running for SCR after only attending one race. Here is a video of run 2 and 4.

Sneed Speed Shop Cross Trial Series #1

Im a couple weeks late posting this one but in mid April we took the short trip from Charlotte to Raleigh to race in the first of a two race Airport CrossTrial series hosted by Triad NC SCCA and sponsored by Sneed Speed Shop. The race was held at the Old Sanford Airport and the cars were classified by there normal SCCA solo regulations and then PAX timing was used for overall standings in the series. The track was very large but quite simple with a lot of slalom's, but the track ended up being close to 1.75 miles due to the doubling up of the main section. The G35 thrives in these side to side slalom motions and the new Bridgestone Potenza RE-11's were finally seeing the heat they have been thriving for and were hooked at 7 grand going through the tight parts of the course. After three runs down I knew there was a little bit left on the table and picked up about .45 sec on run 4 to win the FS class with a 161.937. The second race in this series is in mid September so we will see how it shapes out. Here is a video of the 4th run.
